BioProcess Digital Courses

Simulation, extrapolation et optimisation de réacteurs enzymatiques
PROCEDES DE BIOCONVERSIONS ENZYMATIQUES
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course teaches the simulation based scale-up and optimization of enzymatic bioconversion reactors. It first describes the kinetic analysis and modeling simulation at the laboratory. Then, at the industrial scale, the simulation based optimization of the bioreactor operational mode and variables. The methodology is learned through a R&D project on starch hydrolysis by a glucoamylase enzyme.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN ?
-
Design and analyze experiments to determine the kinetics of enzymatic reactions
-
Construct simulation models of soluble and immobilized enzyme reactions in batch and continuous reactors
-
Use process simulators to scale up, design and optimize enzymatic reactors
-
Determine the bioreactor operation modes (batch, continuous) and variables (temperature, enzyme concentration) to reach the highest productivity or the lowest bioconversion cost
